a little about me...
I'm originally from Houston, and live in San Antonio with my husband, Davis and my dog, Walter. I’m a computer teacher by day and crafter, artist and creativity explorer in my free time. I’ve always loved creating, and when my two loves of technology and art came together, I believe it was a dream come true.
After working in the crafting industry with companies like Simon Says Stamp, Pinkfresh Studio, Catherine Pooler, Paper Wings Productions, and co-founding and illustrating for Winnie and Walter, I have stepped out on my own to create fun and inspiring graphics and other digital goodness for bloggers, teachers, crafters and makers of all kinds. After gaining all of this experience and with 21+ years of experience in teaching, I want to continue to share my knowledge with others for their creative projects.
A few of my likes:
Movies: When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride, Bridget Jones, Love Actually, Julie and Julia, A Room with a View and nearly anything Jane Austen.
TV: Big Bang Theory, Project Runway, Property Brothers, Fixer Upper, and Pioneer Woman.
Books: The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown, Poemcrazy by Susan Goldsmith Wooldridge, Taking Flight by Kelly Rae Roberts and Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert.
- Also, I can find happiness in some kind of chocolate or cheesecake decadence. :)
My goal is to share my love of graphic design and crafting by demonstration and inspiration. Like many of you, I love to look around the internet at my favorite bloggers sites, Instagram and Pinterest for great ideas, and some I want to make exactly like I see them for my own personal use. I ask that you respect me and my work, and when you are inspired by my creations, please remember you can use them for inspiration of your own projects for personal use only. If you share your project online, please link back to Julie Mogford Designs as your source of inspiration.
