Sneak Peek Day 3 | Elegant Lady

It is Sneak Peek Day 3 - and it's time to reveal the Elegant Lady Collection!

The Elegant Lady Collection started off as a project from a class I was taking and the heroine is inspired by Lady Rose MacClare portrayed by Lily James in the series Downton Abbey. It is my first attempt at drawing a person, and though it was challenging for me, I could see myself doing a few more characters in the future. Both the lady and the additional elements could be used in a variety of ways.  Let's take a closer look at the sets.

All of the products for this release are DIGITAL and will be available for download at time of purchase.  The descriptions below will give more information about the file type for each product and suggestions for use.

You can find the Elegant Lady collection, and my other products in my shop.

Projects:

On Sneak Peek Day 2, I mentioned that I made this Rose Window hot pink foiled background, and now you can see the finished card.  It's the background for the Elegant Lady!  You can see some of the shine at the top of the card.

I used the Elegant Lady Digital Stamps + Borders (or you could use the Digital Stamp version and hand cut) and the Elegant Lady Digital Die Cuts to create the focal image.  The main image was printed and actually cut by hand because I did not want the halo.  The frame was cut around the outside edge, foiled in more pink, and then colored with a pink marker to give the two-tone frame. The main image is colored with Prismacolor pencils.

You can really see the shine on the background and the frame.  I added more shine in the form of glossy accents on the headband jewels, and Wink of Stella on the necklace and white gloves.

For the next two projects, I decided to use more of the Elegant Lady Digital Die Cuts, and create my own stencils.  I actually used the Silhouette Adhesive Backed Stencil Material. Word of warning - It works great, but is very sticky.  Make sure to remove some of the sticky by tapping on your clothes, or other similar method.

I cut the same shape in 4 sizes because I wanted some variety, so when I put the shape in the Silhouette software, I just drew a 4.25x5.5 rectangle, and then sized the flourish for the card a few times.  Now I have the shape in multiple sizes for different projects.

For this card, I used a sponge dauber and Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream hybrid ink to sponge over the stencil on kraft card stock. I stamped a Hero Arts birthday sentiment and added Queen & Co. Jellies - enamel dots.

I used a larger stencil and distress inks in Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, Crushed Olive and Peacock Feathers with blending tools.  Then I added the "hooray" stamp from Winnie & Walter's The Party. Both of these make great one layer cards, and so quick!  Love these colors together!!!

That takes care of Day 3.  I hope you enjoyed the projects.  And, tomorrow is the BIG DAY!

The products will be available Monday, July 17th, @ 7:17am CST.  Tomorrow, I will also be sharing a few more projects from some guest designers, so I hope you will join me then!

Thanks for stopping by!
